TARGET AUDIENCE

To find out our target audience we use the acronym 'GRASS' :
Gender
Race
Age (usually an age range, for example 16-25 year olds)
Socio-economic Status

- I think my magazine would be read by any gender, but mostly males.
- I think any race would read my magazine as it has no historic background to any race unlike Jazz, Bangra, Soul etc.
- The age of the readers that would probably be between 14-25, the artists in the magazine would probably not be known by people from their mid- 20's onwards.
- The socio-economic status of the readers of my magazine would be fro B-E. I do not think the upper classes will read my magazine as my genre of music i believe would not be in circulation of the upper classes.

Feedback - 6/12/09

See my previous post! You need alot more on here to get a decent coursework grade Jack

It is pretty poor when the next post on your blog is mine- you should now be working on this (research) as homework and all the planning you are doing in class should be put on here also.

This blog is currently a grade U.

Research : Essential - research your target audience - use your demographic and psychographic profiling - do some questionannires and put yourresults on your blog

- music magazines
-your chosen music genre
- institution - Which publisher will publish your magazine? Look at ones with similar magazines.

Also look at some audience/circulation figures for music magazines.

Planning ( see the 'Before you Blog' handout - last 2 pages)

Include..

- Moodboards

-mock ups of pages

-location shots

-props/costume list

- rough draft of feature article

- It might be nice to outline your artist and their image - and why they are good to be the featured artists in your magazine

- photographs taken and final chosen ones and why etc...
